    Author: James Dashner
    Available: Almost any bookstore

James Dashner has done it again, another amazing book to add to the Maze Runner series. The sequel to the incredible first novel “The Maze Runner”, so good that they even made a Blockbuster movie, and a four book series.

Assuming that you have read the first book, or even seen the movie. This incredible sequel contains the story of Thomas and the Gladers continues as they travel through a desert wasteland that has been demolished by the sun “The reason for the name”.

I made the mistake of leaving the water on for my hot chocolate before picking up this book. I had read the First book, the Maze Runner, so I knew that this would be another amazing book. I picked it up right before I went to bed and I couldn’t allow myself to put it down. I literally read the last 10 or so chapters there was so much action and drama.

At first, The Scorch Trials starts off weak, but slowly builds up in the first hundred pages or so when the charters meet new people in the village wasteland who help them on their journey through the sun scorched land. There is some romance but not enough to make it weird. Along later in the book there is a HUGE plot twist that even I didn’t see coming!

To wrap this book review up I would say, in short, that the maze runner’s sequel is almost better than the first, but that never happens. I would recommend this book to anyone, even people who don’t like to read. Once you get past chapter nine you can’t stop reading. I finished the last 10 or 20 chapters all in one night. All in all this is a great book with few flaws.
