  1. Taylor Swift 1989 Review
No longer, country singer, Taylor Swift, topped the music charts with her new pop album 1989. Taylor Swift is now 25 years old and is changing things up. Her album, 1989, was released fall of this year. This is her seventh album. There are 13 songs on the album, many of which have been number one on iTunes multiple weeks in a row.
If you listen to this album you will find that the songs sound like they came from the ‘80s. I personally love this album because of that. Most of the songs are pop and upbeat. Taylor’s voice sounds the same and not at all auto tuned. She doesn’t play the guitar as much as some of her other albums, but you do hear her play a bit towards the end of the album.
Taylor has really come out of her shell with this album and is surprising fans with everything she does. One of my favorite songs on her album is “Blank Space.” This song is singing about a girl who knows she is trouble but still always seems to fall in love for a short period of time, much like her song “I Knew You Were Trouble” on her last album Red.
Her album, 1989, is nothing like she has ever released. Her first three singles “Shake It Off,” “Out of the Woods” and “Welcome to New York” all abandon her traditionally sappy, country sound and holds several aspects of Swift’s new image. This is a successful departure from Taylor’s country music. She really proves she can transition to pop with her fun, ‘80s sound and meaningful lyrics.
I love this album because the songs all have a lesson to them. The whole album is basically saying you need to love yourself before you can love anyone else. I think Taylor did a spectacular job portraying this image.
These songs for sure will get stuck in your head. You will find yourself singing along in just seconds of listening. What I’m trying to say is that the songs where greatly written and easy to sing along to. This is one of her smaller albums but still is great.
Taylor Swift traded in her cowboy boots for a new image. She is being herself and doesn’t care who sees. Her album is upbeat, urban, and has got a ‘80s swing to it. The songs are greatly written and contain life lesson that many teen girls can relate to. In my opinion this is the best album of hers, I’m sure you will be hearing her songs if you turn on the radio.
