Doctor Who? I was at my mom’s work, which is a school, it was summer and I was an art teacher in summer school. I had assistant, Arthur and Nazia, and Arthur is a “Whovian”, which is a Doctor Who? Fan. He showed me one episode and I fell madly in love with the very British show. As soon as I got home I turned on Netflix and started watching it, I watched at least ten episodes maybe more I stayed up till one in the morning watching it.
The Doctor is an interesting man from a planet called, “Gallifrey”. He is over three hundred years old. He has not one, but, two hearts. He is the only one of his kind called, Time Lords.
I started with the ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston he is hilarious. He starts his season by meeting Rose Tyler, (Billie Piper), she is spontaneous and as the Doctor would say, “Fantastic”. Rose and The Doctor stay together for two seasons. Chris and Billie see so many places and meet new enemies. Such as the Daleks, Slitheen, plastic killers, ghosts, and so many more. The Doctor always is running. He and Rose love the adventure, and excitement. The Doctor loves his companions especially Rose. In this season you will be fond of the phrase, “Bad Wolf”, you’ll see what that is for if you watch it. The Doctor and Rose meet a few people who aren’t enemies here’s one, “Captain Jack Harkness”. He meets Rose and The Doctor in London but in 1941 during WW2. They stuck together for a little and enjoyed each other’s company. Also we can’t forget Roses mom and boyfriend, Jackie and Mickey. At first they don’t know that Rose is traveling through time and space in the T.A.R.D.I.S. but they know she is traveling with some random guy she just met. OH! By the way a T.A.R.D.I.S. is Time and Relative Dimension in Space this is what The Doctor travels in.
After the ninth Doctor there is of course the tenth Doctor David Tennant. David had Billie Piper till the end of the second season. They had fun meeting a bunch of fun people like Madame de Pompadour from France. They also meet the Ood, which is alien where in the future are used as slaves. David soon gets a new companion named, Donna Noble played by, Catherine Tate. They meet in the T.A.R.D.I.S. while she was in her wedding dress……. It is a long story you have to watch. Then she leaves and he gets,” Martha Jones” played by, Freema Agyeman. The Doctor and she had some amazing adventures. She started as a nurse and then she meets The Doctor. Their first adventure is with the Judoon, on the moon. They had an interesting time. She loved to travel but she was so worried about her family she asked to go home and he did not reject. A few episodes by himself David end up back with Donna. They went on adventures through time and space but their adventures involved a lot more brain and energy. They ended up meeting Captain Jack Harkness and they travel for a little.
Twelfth Doctor is Matt Smith he is an interesting, funny, emotional, and friendly guy. His first companion Amelia Pond her character is played by, Karen Gillan. She is a Scottish woman who meets the Doctor when she is a child. They end up later as friends they find each other on the night of her wedding with Rory Williams, who’s played by, Arthur Darvill. He loves Amy and when he figures out she is traveling the Doctor takes them Venice, Italy in the 1800’s. They enjoy themselves in Italy with some interesting creatures. There is so much more to this amazing television show. I really hope you enjoy this show.
