The Nike mercurial superfly 4 is the new revolutionized soccer cleat by Nike with the upper dynamic-fit color(sock) part of the cleat made with a soft hand knitted material called Flyknit and flexible carbon fiber soleplate and studs.
This particular colorway of the Nike mercurial superfly 4 that I’m going to be reviewing is my personal favorite out of the four colorways released in the last 4 months has a white base,a kind of pinkish yellowish nike logo going across from the cleat and a black lace and dynamic- fit color and a green soleplate and stud.
The dynamic-fit color ( sock) of the Superfly 4 radically transforms the superfly 4 silhouette and is designed to create a better fit and heightened sensation of the boot as an extension of the foot.Other vital breakthrough additions include the superfly 4’s brio cables,which is directly knitted into the upper part of the cleat and locked into the outsole(outer part of studs soleplate and heel ).By connecting this tendon-like support to the heel,the Superfly 4 acts like a slingshot that helps propel the player forward.In addition the new and more flexible carbon fiber soleplate helps players to more efficintly trasmitt power through the ground.
The one negative about the Superfly 4 the time needed to break into the soccer cleat.What you should do to break into the soccer cleat is when you buy it,you should just wear it and walk with it around the house for about 1 hour.This is better than going to play out in the field because it can cause blisters and it helps your feet get used to the cleats and the cleats get used to your feet.The thing about the Superfly 4 that to me is disappointing is the weight.The Superfly 4 weighs in at about 6.8 ounces which compared to its competitor the Adidas F50 adizero is pretty heavy. But even if the weight is disappointing to me the Superfly 4 still provides a seamless sensation when you wear and just feels like just an extension of your foot.
