Maryland Science Center If you ever wanted to go to an educational yet fun place for all ages then the Maryland Science Center is the perfect place. The Science Center is perfect because you get to know every inch of science, while you can still have fun. For most people the pricing is average. The pricing for is ok because of all the amenities it delivers. It is also the oldest science facilities ever since 1826.
The Science Center has all type of exhibits ranging from the dinosaurs until present-time. The exhibits include cells, dinosaur mysteries, blue crabs, a kid’s room, life beyond earth, Newton’s alley, power up, space link, and sci-lab. The best place I would go to between these sections is the life beyond earth exhibit because you go into a planetarium and you can see what scientist can’t typically see. You also learn about what the solar system, the planets, and the universe.
For the parents, level two and three would be great because it has more scientific activities for grown-ups and they can test their science. It has activities that most grown-ups do not know about and they can learn new things.
The employees there are very helpful around and tell you were everything is. Even though they are strict and need people to be in order, they are really nice and sweet. The facility is very clean and everything is in order. If a student or even a parent leaves a mess, and employees is always there to clean it up. Since it’s clean, every activity is in order and all the student use it in a respectful way. For a place full of children it’s very quiet and that’s why everything is in order. All the three levels have more and more activities. The higher you go up the levels the more you learn and learn and learn.
On the other hand there was some negativity. The bathrooms could be a little cleaner and a bit bigger. With many people inside it’s very crowded and it could be hard to breathe or move around. The café can also serve some tastier food and a bit healthier instead of serving food that you can get at McDonalds. It would also be good at the need of looking at all the exhibits, one of the employees could take you at the end to the gift shop, so that you can leave without forgetting souvenirs.
The Science Center is overall a great and educational place. It has great activities for any age. It’s quiet, clean, and large. There are a lot of exhibits that you would go to over and over again and never get tired of it. You can learn even with just one activity and understand why it happens. I would recommend it for anytime you would want to visit a center or just any free time you have.
