Apx 2

  1. The APX2
Do you play hockey? You will probably say no, but that’s ok. In the hockey world there are many sticks. There are also many companies, but we are going to focus on one company. More specifically we are going to talk about the Apx2.

The Apx2 is made by the company Bauer. The Bauer Company has been around for a pretty long time. The Apx2 is a fairly new stick. It is the second stick of the Apx series. I happen to own this stick, and I really like it. The stick has two different grips, one is tacky and sticky, and one is a clean shave and has no grip. The stick comes in three different sizes. One size is junior. This is for littler kids that are from five to twelve. The second size is intermediate. This is for kids that are from twelve to eighteen. Then the last size is senior. It is for people that are from eighteen and on. The flex is different for each size. The junior is very flexible, it is very easy to break. The intermediate is still flexible, but it is harder to break because it is thicker. The senior has less flex and is longer but is the same thickness.

There are also multiple types of curves. They are all named by the hockey player that uses that curve. The color of the stick is black and red. The main curves of the stick are the ninety curve, the eighty curve, and the seventy curve. The curve is different for the type of the position. The lower the number the less curve so lower for the defense and higher for offence. However, there is a limited addition one that is sliver and red.

I own the intermediate stick, and it is very nice. I have only broken one stick, and it was only because a big fat kid fell on it. I have had both grips on my stick. I personally like the one with no grip better, because you can slide your hand faster. I have had other sticks, but this one is my favorite by far. If I had to rate it, I would rate it a nine out of ten. I have the Backstrom curve. This curve is now gone, because Backstrom is no longer using Bauer sticks. The stick can cost between seventy five dollars to two hundred depending on the size.

Overall, this is one of the best hockey sticks you can buy. The stick has many curves and different flexibilities. The stick is used by a lot of NHL players, so it is top of the line. If you are looking of a new hockey stick then this is a good one for you!
